Anglesey, the UK’s 7th largest island, boasts a coastline stretching approximately 200 kilometres, featuring diverse geology, dynamic tidal features, and rich wildlife. The total circumnavigation by water spans around 130 kilometres, offering a must-do experience for enthusiasts of multi-day trips.

Spectacular Scenery and Landmarks Await: 

Experience a blend of classic journeys in a single expedition, offering views of remarkable highlights like Holy Island with its sea stacks and tidal races, the epic headlands and small islands along the North coast, the renowned Menai Straits separating Anglesey from the mainland, and the serene yet stunning southern coastline with its picturesque beaches and bays.

Requirements and Preparations:

To embark on this voyage, intermediate paddling skills and a good fitness level are essential. Expect extended hours in kayaks, covering daily distances of up to 35km. Additionally, ensure you possess the necessary skills and equipment to camp self-sufficiently in the UK's diverse weather conditions.

Meeting Point and Time:

Commence your journey at 7:30 a.m. on Monday at the Sea Kayaking UK/Celtic Paddles Factory in Holyhead, Anglesey.

Equipment Details:

Before setting off, take time on day one to acquire necessary equipment. We offer kayaks, spray decks, paddles, buoyancy aids, and helmets. Refer to the equipment page for comprehensive details.

It is advisable to use your own familiar equipment for this expedition, as changes won't be feasible once we begin the journey. Remember to bring appropriate camping gear, including food and water supplies for the duration.

Course Structure:

Day one involves group introductions and goal discussions with your coach, tailored to the weekly conditions. After preparing and loading equipment onto trailers or cars, you'll embark on your expedition after that it is a case of staying adaptable to tackle any unforeseen circumstances along the journey.

Rest assured, you're in capable hands with your experienced coach. Shore support will be available, standing by to assist in case of any unforeseen needs.
