1. Booking & Payment
A booking is confirmed once full payment is received.
We do not accept deposits for any courses or events.
For standard/open courses, full payment is due at the time of booking unless stated otherwise.
For bespoke or private group bookings requiring two or more coaches, full payment is required, and terms are confirmed on your quote.
Prices are per person unless stated otherwise and include coaching only; travel, meals, accommodation and insurance are not included unless explicitly stated.
2. Ratios, Group Size & Multiple Coaches
Typical maximum client: coach ratios:
- Advanced: 1:4
- Moderate: 1:6
- Sheltered/Intro: 1:8
We may reduce ratios for safety.
If your group requires additional coaches, your quote will reflect this.
3. Organiser Incentives
Where applicable, incentives (such as free or discounted places) will be stated on the quote/invoice.
Incentives depend on final paid group size and may change if numbers drop.
4. What’s Included / Not Included
Included: professional coaching/guiding, safety oversight and any inclusions on your quote.
Equipment may be included if stated.
Not included: meals, accommodation, travel, additional kit hire and personal insurance unless confirmed in writing.
5. Insurance Requirements
Participants are strongly advised to hold insurance that covers:
- Cancellation/curtailment
- Medical expenses and evacuation
- Travel disruption
- Loss/damage to personal property/hired kit
Refunds follow our refund policy. You are responsible for arranging your own cover.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
If you cancel:

90+ days before the start date:
Refund available, minus a 10% admin fee.
(Accommodation, if booked, follows the festival-specific accommodation terms.) -
<90 days before the start date:
No refund is due (0% refundable).
You may transfer your place—see transfer rules below. -
Illness, injury or personal circumstances:
No refund is due. Please ensure your insurance covers cancellation.
If we cancel:
If conditions require us to shorten or modify activities, this is not a cancellation.
If we cancel entirely, you may transfer to a new date or receive a refund of course fees paid (excluding external costs like accommodation or travel).
7. Larger or Bespoke Bookings (2+ Coaches)
Balance requirements, scope changes and price adjustments apply as per your quote.
Package pricing does not automatically reduce if a participant drops out.
8. Changes by You
Changes to participants or dates may require an admin review or a re-quote.
Substitutions are usually permitted with at least 7 days’ notice.
9. Changes by Us
Sea conditions, weather, access and group ability may require adjustments to venues, timings or coaches.
These changes do not constitute a cancellation.
10. Safety, Participation & Medical
Sea kayaking involves inherent risks.
Participants must:
- Follow safety briefings
- Disclose medical conditions/medications
- Wear required safety kit
- Not participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs
We may remove participants for safety reasons without refund.
11. Age
Courses are for 18+. Under-18s may attend only with prior agreement and appropriate supervision.
12. Equipment & Hire
Hired equipment must be returned in good condition.
Damage beyond fair wear may incur charges.
13. Personal Property
We are not responsible for loss/damage/theft except where caused by our negligence.
14. Photography & Media
Photos/videos may be taken for coaching and marketing purposes.
You may opt out of marketing use without affecting participation.
15. Data Protection
We process personal data in line with UK data protection law and our Privacy Policy.
16. Pricing & Payment Methods
Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
We accept card payments and bank transfers.
Discounts only apply if stated on your quote/invoice.
17. Minimum Numbers
We may transfer or modify courses that do not meet minimum numbers.
18. Liability
We carry appropriate business insurance.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., travel or accommodation costs).
Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
19. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for failure to perform due to events outside our control (severe weather, pandemics, restrictions, utility failures, etc.).
20. Complaints
Raise issues promptly with your coach.

21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
The courts of England & Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
22. Festival-Specific Terms (Anglesey Women’s Sea Kayaking Festival 2026)
22.1 Booking & Payment
Festival tickets must be paid in full at the time of booking.
We do not accept deposits.
22.2 Refunds
Refunds are available only if cancelled 90+ days before the Festival start date, minus a 10% admin fee.
Cancellations inside 90 days are non-refundable.
You may transfer your place to another suitable participant (see below).
22.3 Transfers
You may transfer your festival place to another participant with support from the admin team.
We require full medical and emergency contact details before confirming the transfer.
22.4 Event Structure
The Festival includes paddling sessions, workshops, yoga/sea dips, social events and three evening meals (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
Two breakfasts and two lunches (Sat & Sun) are also included.
22.5 Schedule Flexibility
The programme may change due to weather, tides, access, safety or coach availability.
Changes do not constitute cancellation or grounds for refund.
22.6 Accommodation Packages
Accommodation is sold as a 3-night minimum package (Fri–Mon).
Accommodation bookings are non-refundable but may be transferred to another participant with admin approval.
Additional nights can be booked directly with Anglesey Outdoors.
22.7 Missed Activities
Missed sessions, meals, workshops, yoga or dips are non-refundable.
22.8 Behaviour & Community Expectations
The Festival is a women-centred, inclusive and supportive event.
We may remove anyone whose behaviour compromises safety or wellbeing.
No refund is due in such cases.
22.9 Photography
Festival activities may be photographed or filmed for marketing.
You may opt out by informing the team at check-in.
